Our Advanced Drone Pilot License program is designed for pilots looking to operate drones safely and legally in Canada under Transport Canada regulations.

Flying drones (250 grams or more) requires a Drone Pilot Certificate. At AlteX droneHUB, we provide a comprehensive training program that prepares you for both the written exam and the in-person flight review.

The program includes two key steps:

Online Drone Ground School

20 Hours of structured online training to prepare you for the Transport Canada Advanced exam, covering airspace, air law, navigation, meteorology, flight planning, and more safety-focused knowledge.

In-Person Flight Training & Flight Review

Hands-on flight training with expert instructors, followed by a flight review to obtain your Advanced Drone Pilot License. In-person sessions are available weekly on Tue, Wed, Thu and Sat.

Training takes place at our professional droneHUB, where you gain real-world experience in a controlled environment with access to expert instructors, proper facilities, and ongoing support.

Whether you are starting your drone journey or advancing your certification, this program ensures you develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence to operate at a professional level.

DURATION & SCHEDULE

Learning Hours:

24 Hours Online Learning for Drone Ground School.
3 Hours Hands-on Flight Training with 2 Hours Flight Practice
1 Hour Flight Review

In-Person Schedule: Sessions available every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday (Book upon enrollment).

Access Duration: Extended 6 Months (or 12 Months with Flight Training) Access to the program after enrollment.

AlteX Academy online courses are cloud based. Videos, Graphics Material or Interactive Material such as glossary and quiz are not available for download. A package of downloadable course files is provided in Course Orientation Module where applicable. Standard computer programs such as Microsoft Word and PDF are required to complete AlteX Courses. Internet speed of 10 Mbps or more is recommended for optimal learning experience. Please allow time for loading course module if your internet speed is less than 10 Mbps. Internet service interruption may disrupt course learning progress
